FREIGHT & COMMODITY BROKERS
Our Group has a well established Trading & Commodity Broking Dept., which has trading links with Government Corporations and Private sectors. We represent many reputed international organizations that have registered with Government Corporations to participate in the worldwide bulk commodity tenders, such as petroleum products,
wheat, cement, fertilizer etc. We also maintain good relationships with many private sectors in Sri Lanka for whom we supply commodities such as fertilizer, cement, sugar, rice and other general commodities, through our international principals.
We represent the following Government Corporations and private sectors at local tenders:
- Ceylon Petroleum Corporation:
Imports of products will be according to the requirements, which is given as follows:
Gas oil & Jet A-1 (combined cargo)
Gas oil - each shipment 25,000 - 30,000 MT
(Annual Requirement 1000000 MT)
Jet A-1 - each shipment 10, 000 - 15, 000 MT
(Annual requirement 500, 000 - 600, 000 MT)
Fuel oil (1000 secs & 1500 secs)
40, 000 MT -each shipment (Annual requirement Approx 150, 000MT)
Bitumen
Approx 5000 MT (each shipment)
Kerosene & Illuminating oil (combined cargo)
Approx 5000 MT (each shipment) CEYPETCO also exports Naphtha which is also done on tender basis, each shipment is about 20, 000 MT.
- Co-operative Wholesale Establishment (CWE):
IMPORTS: hard and soft wheat, lentils, onions etc.
IMPORT OF HARD AND SOFT WHEAT: Total requirement approximately 900,000 M/T per year on C&F basis.
- Ceylon Fertilizer Company Limited (CFC) and private sectors:
Imports: Urea, TSP, MOP,SOP, ZINC, Sulphate etc. Total requirement approximately 200,000 M/T per year (each shipment approx 10,000 - 12,500 M/T).
CLEARING, FREIGHT FORWARDING & NVOCC OPERATIONS:
We have a well established Freight Forwarding dept. in our Group,
which operates successfully with links to major international ports.
We represent many international cargo consolidators for inbound
and outbound cargoes of container and break bulk shipments.
SHIP CHARTERING & BROKERAGE SERVICES
We are also actively involved in Ship Chartering & Brokerage business since the inception of our company in 1953.
During our past 50 years of service, we have been able to establish relationship with many prestigious ship owners, charterers and traders worldwide, providing them with a reliable, professional and comprehensive dry bulk, break bulk and liquid bulk services.
Our Company is actively involved in all aspects of dry cargo chartering, from spot market fixtures to long term charters and contracts of affreightment, involving fertilizer, grains, cement, iron/ steel, scrap, timber, palletized cargo, coal, project cargo, machinery, crude oil, petroleum products etc.,
